Four Assistant Inspectors General of Police, AIGs are among the one hundred and ninety five senior police officers facing charges before the Force Disciplinary Committee for various cases of misconduct.
The Deputy Inspector-General of Police in Charge of Administration Suleiman Fakai who announced this at a news conference in Abuja said seventeen Commissioners of Police, two Deputy Commissioners of Police and six Assistant Commissioners of Police would also appear before the committee.
Fakai who chairs the committee said one Commissioner of Police, one Assistant Commissioner of Police, a Chief Superintendent of Police and two Superintendent of Police had been dismissed for various cases of misconduct in the last one year.
