2013 MTV Video Music Awards Nominees Announced

VMA Moonman
This year's MTV Video Music Awards has left the suited Justin Timberlake in a tie with thrift shop wunderkinds Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, each holding down six nominations. Bruno Mars trails close behind with four nods.

Tune in to MTV on August 25 at 9 p.m. EST to watch music's biggest names fill the Barclay's Center in Brooklyn for the star-studded awards ceremony.

The "Suit & Tie" singer is nominated for “Video of the Year,” “Best Male Video,” “Best Pop Video” and “Best Editing” for “Mirrors,” while his dapper anthem “Suit & Tie” featuring Jay-Z is up for “Best Collaboration” and “Best Direction.” First-time nominees Macklemore and Ryan Lewis are up “Video of the Year” for their smash hit “Thrift Shop,” also clocking into “Best Hip Hop Video,” “Best Cinematography,” “Best Direction,” and “Best Editing” for “Can’t Hold Us featuring Ray Dalton." The duo's “Same Love” received a nod for "Best Video with a Social Message."

Other nominees for Best Hip-Hop Video include Drake's "Started From The Bottom," Kendrick Lamar's "Swimming Pools (Drank)", A$AP Rocky's "Fuckin Problems" featuring Drake, 2 Chainz and Kendrick Lamar, and J. Cole's "Power Trip" alongside Miguel.
