Julius Berger’s turnover hits N196.9bn, pays N3bn dividend
Julius Berger Nigeria (JBN) Plc. yesterday reported an increase of 17.7 per cent in its turnover from N167.4 billion in 2011 to N196.95 billion in the 2012 operating year even as the group turnover also rose by 19 per cent from N169.4 billion in 2011 to N201.56 billion in 2012.


The Group’s Profit Before Tax also increased by 24 per cent to N12.34 billion in 2012 from N9.93 billion in the previous year. The company’s profit after tax increased to N8.02 billion up from the N4.411 billion recorded in the previous year.

The impressive returns which were announced to shareholders at the company 43rd Annual General Meeting in Abuja also translated to investment gains for shareholders who got N2.50 dividend per share in the financial year with the total dividend payout of N3 billion to investors.

The chairman of the company, Dr. Mohammed Nurudeen Imam, in his address attributed the 24 per cent increase in profitability and other positive reflections in the company’s balance sheets to the handover landscale projects such as Admiralty Alexander- Link Brigde in Lagos, the escravos gas liquid plant as well as the completion of a major segment of the Lagos-Badagry Expressway and several projects in Akwa Ibom State and efficient use of its resources and streamlining of processes.
