Overcoming Weariness - Part 2.
We bring you the concluding part of our message - Overcoming Weariness Part 1 and pray that every challenge and circumstances that bring weariness into your souls shall be destroyed in Jesus name. Amen.
In the last edition, we considered some case studies of men of God in the bible who received the fulfillment of God's promises after a longtime and overcame the power of weariness. There are many promises in the Scripture and even though they tarry, the repeated confession and believe in them bring manifestation.
What are some of the promises of God?
1. Fruitfulness - Deuteronomy 7:14 "Thou shall be blessed above all people: there shall not be male or female barren among you, or among your cattle."
2. Dominion - Genesis 1:26 "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth."
3. Prosperity - Proverbs 16:3 "Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established." Every success we see today are products of the mind - thought. Read also Proverb 3:5-6
4. Divine Healing - Isaiah 53:5 "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed." 3 John 1:2, Malachi 4:2
5. Divine Provision - Philippians 4:19 "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."
6. Divine Guidance - Isaiah 30:21 "And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left."
7. Divine Protection - Proverbs 18:10 "The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe."

Living a Victorious Christian Life - Part 2

We are continuing on Part 2 of our series "Living a Victorious Christian Life". Click here for Part 1. Today, we shall discuss on the actions necessary to lay hold as well as live a Victorious Christian Life.
How Do I Live a Victorious Christian Life?
1. Lifting up the banner of Christ: One of the various ways is cultivating an addicted habit of lifting up the banner of Christ. The bible is full of stories of valiant men and women who lifted up the God in their generations but we shall consider king Asa. 2 Chronicles 14:1-6.
What did king Asa do to lift up the banner of God? As soon as he was made a king, he destroy all the altars of strange gods in the land and commanded the people to seek the Lord. What do you exalt more than God in your life or how do we influence our circle of influence to worship the almighty and only living God? Put everything under the authority and supremacy of Christ. Do you realize that this singular act of king Asa brought peace, rest, security and prosperity upon his nation?

Living a Victorious Christian Life - Part 1
The scripture in Luke 10:17-19 says, "And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you."

Overcoming Weariness - Part 1.
What is weariness? It is expressed as exhaustion in strength, tolerance, endurance, vigor or freshness triggered by non actualization of expectations. Whenever there are delays in the realization of our expectations, there is likelihood for weariness to set in but the scripture admonishes us not to be weary but rather continue in well doing without fainting or giving up because at the appointed time, we shall reap.

Ija Visits His In-Laws - A Series of Book for Children Morals Teaching.

In times past, one of the most effective ways of impacting moral values unto the younger generations by our grand parents was through folktales and tales by moonlight. Different animal characters and incidences molded to stories were narrated to inculcated lasting and generational values such as integrity, diligence, trust, commitment, perseverance, dignity etc.
While technology and modern world might have overtaken the process of tales by moonlight, the lessons of the stories remain indelible and relevant from one generation to another.
Today, if we cannot arrange tales by moonlight for our children, we can engage them with the books with themes centered on such moral values. On this note, I introduce this new children book titled "Ija Visits His In-Laws"
The book is available on the major online bookstores such as Amazon, Barnes and Noble and others. Grab a copy today for your children on amazon.com, amazon.co.uk or barnesandnoble.com

Three Factors to Attain Purity
Three Factors to Attain Purity
1. Heart: Your heart is the most important in the issue of attaining purity for perfection. The heart is the seat of the mind and both are closely related and intertwined. Proverbs 4:23 says, "Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life."

What is your name? The concept of name and naming - Part 2

Today, we shall be looking at the second and concluding part of our topic "What is your name? The concept of name and naming." For those who have not read the part one of this subject, simply click on this link: What is your name? The concept of name and naming - Part 1.
Sources of Names
As believers, the three major sources where we can derive names from are:
1. Prophesy: as spoken through a man of God or His prophet. Isaiah 9:6
2. Revelation: as received through dreams, revelation of His Word or His holy angels.
3. Inspiration: as inspired by the Holy Spirit. 1 Samuel 1:20
We should always look up to God, His Word and trust the Holy Spirit to minister the divine and purpose fulfilling names into our hearts for our children, businesses and ministries.
Tricks of the enemy
The devil is always looking for means to tamper and alter divine purposes and destinies. One of his weapon is to sow seeds of wrong names in the heart of men. The moment he succeeds in giving that wrong name, he goes ahead to manipulate that destiny.
Most of the time, the devil accomplish his purpose through craftiness and tricks. We should never be ignorant of his tricks.

What is your attitude towards failure?
Failure is something everybody dreads and nobody wants to be associated with it. The well known antonym of failure is success. While success is well celebrated and accepted, failure is disdained with no associations.
As a child growing up, I had a clear understanding of the difference between success and failure. Parents find it hard to encourage or support their children when they fail at school or in some sort of exercises. Likewise, friends, colleagues and society at large look down on people experiencing some forms of failure.
There are diverse forms of failure ranging from academic, career, business, financial, marital, parental, ministerial failures etc. Over the years, I have come to realize that people's opinions about your failure is insignificant. What is important is your personal attitude towards failure. The challenge is not in failing but remaining in that state of failure.
From the knowledge of the scripture, the story of Joseph is a very graphic picture of failure. This was a boy who had great dreams of leadership. He went from pit in the hands of his brothers to slavery at Potiphar's house. While serving faithfully at Potiphar's house, he was victimized and later sent to the prison. He was faced with failures at every facet of life but one thing was sure that he maintained the right and positive attitude towards failure. At the end, he became a prime minister and great success in Egypt (read Genesis 37, 39, 40 and 41).
Jabez was another man with the story of failure from birth. His name alone signified failure because anyone that is called sorrow can only be full of failures. Also, Jabez maintained a positive attitude and prayed to God to change his condition. The bible recorded that Jabez was more honourable than his brethren (1 Chronicle 4:9-10).
What is your attitude towards failure? I love the saying that, "Failure is not final". It is just a transition process for everyone that will develop a positive and right attitude. Thomas Edison that invented the filament bulb failed thousands of times while performing experiments to develop the bulb. While he was failing, he maintained the positive attitude and with time had a breakthrough. Do you know what he said concerning the failing periods? "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work" - Thomas Edison.
Whatever form of failure you might be going through presently which you have a wrong disposition, I challenge you to change and develop a positive attitude. You will definitely see things turn around for better.
Let me share with you a write up on failure written in this great book I read several years ago: Tough Times Never Last, But Tough People Do! - Robert H. Schuller
Failure doesn't mean you are a failure.....it does mean you haven't succeeded yet.
Failure doesn't mean you have accomplished nothing.....it does mean you have learned something.
Failure doesn't mean you have been a fool.....it does mean you had a lot of faith.
Failure doesn't mean you have been disgraced.....it does mean you were willing to try.
Failure doesn't mean you don't have it.....it does mean you have to do something in a different way.
Failure doesn't mean you are inferior.....it does mean you are not perfect.
Failure doesn't mean you've wasted your life.....it does mean you have a reason to start afresh.
Failure doesn't mean you should give up.....it does mean you must try harder.
Failure doesn't mean you'll never make it.....it does mean it will take a little longer.
Failure doesn't mean God has abandoned you.....it does mean God has a better idea.
As earlier mentioned, failure is not final. Whatever area that you have failed or failing right now, I encourage you to brace up and start afresh. Great success is ahead of you.

Purity for Perfection - Part 1.
Purity means the quality or state of being pure. This is also synonymous to immaculacy - the state of being immaculate.
To be pure or immaculate is to have no stains or blemishes. Jesus Christ died that He might present to Himself a glorious church; not having spots, or wrinkles (immaculate church). Read Ephesians 5:25-27. For us to attain unto perfection individually as believers that constitute the body of Christ (church), we must lay hold on the power of purity.
Purity can also be related to holiness and righteousness but seems deeper in all aspects. While holiness and righteousness are mostly judged by outer appearances and dispositions which can be feigned, purity is a reflection of inner and outer states. It can be described as content and appearance.

What is your name? The concept of name and naming - Part 1
Scripture: Luke 1:5-20, 57-63
The concept of name and naming is a very powerful and spiritual one. The world understands same concept though might not place so much importance. As believers, it is imperative that we continue to pay close attention because the Almighty God is much concern about it.
We see from our scripture above that Zachariah and his wife were believing God for the fruit of the womb and at the appointed time, God intervened and visited them. The angel of the LORD appeared unto them and proclaimed that they shall bear a child. Coupled with this were two other main declarations upon which our subject is anchored.
1. Name: The angel gave the specific name that the child shall be named.
2. Purpose & Destiny: The purpose and destiny of the child were clearly defined.

Iyabo Obasanjo denies writing any letter to her father.
There is another report that Iyabo Obasanjo denied ever writing any letter to her father. What is really going on along this corridor of power?
Blue Band Restates Commitment to Healthy Living.
The curtain was drawn on the Blue Band National Growth Challenge amidst excitement on December 13, 2013 at Sheba Hall, Ikeja, Lagos. To add to the excitement, parents and guests voted to elect the winner of an art competition, which the brand ran as part of activities for the growth challenge.
At the ceremony, Tea and Spreads Category Manager at Unilever Nigeria, Ms. Vivian Ihaza said “We are so delighted at the success of this campaign, particularly with the fact that Blue Band has touched the lives of people through improved access to nutritional knowledge. The challenge was a learning and exciting platform for parents and children, who learnt about proper nutrition and its implication to their overall health. Unilever remains totally committed to healthy living.”
Iyabo Obasanjo's response to OBJ's on his letter to GEJ.
It
appears Nigeria is gradually moving into a new era where all political deeds
are no longer hidden but exposed via open letters. Barely one week that former
President, Olusegun Obasanjo took a swipe on Jonathan’s government in an open
letter, Obasanjo’s daughter, Iyabo, has equally written an open letter to her
father, disclosing that she would never be in talking terms with him (her
father) again. Iyabo had described her father as a man with different faces,
who is bent at manipulating situations at all times. She said her father was
mischievously witch-hunting President Goodluck Jonathan due to his (Obasanjo)
insatiable and inordinate quest for power and relevance.
In
the 11-page letter dated December 16, 2013 and obtained by Vanguard, Iyabo
berated her father for fighting for a third term while in office, his
irresponsible fatherhood, and extreme wickedness to his family members, as well
as his maltreatment of his wives.
Iyabo,
who is the first child of the former president, began the letter with a striking
title: Open Letter to my Father with a 4th century Chinese proverb by Mencius
which states: “The great man is he who does not lose his child’s heart.”
However,
in the first paragraph of the letter, Iyabo asserted that she was compelled to
write the letter even out of her wish, because her father started the trend
open letters in the country. She also accused her father of being extremely
stubborn by not listening to anyone, including his children, justifying her
letter which she said was the only way to reach out to him (Obasanjo).
Optimum Exposures Goes Digital.
The digital revolution in the out of home industry seems set to go full circle in Nigeria with the most prominent billboard, Optimum Exposures’ majestic hoarding at Adeniji Adele, Lagos set to go digital.
The Chief Operating Officer at Optimum Exposures Limited, Engr. Bayo Adio disclosed that his company has partnered with global leaders in digital billboard, Daktronics to digitalize the Mega billboard in Nigeria, so as to serve the market better.
In the words of Adio, “Standing majestically at the beginning of the third mainland bridge outward Lagos Island, this billboard is well located to deliver the greatest number of eyeballs in Nigeria. We are truly pleased to have it digitalized to meet the demands of our ever evolving market.”
To digitalise the billboard, senior officials of Daktronics flew into Nigeria from the United States of America for a pre-installation visit on December 10, 2013. General Manager, Ahmad Dahmash and Andrew Michael Gorder, Project Manager both of Daktronics made the visit. The Optimum and the Daktronics team also met with the management of Mediacom, Carat Media Perspective and Starcom Media.
